We’re all in this together. Locked down by Covid, not making any cash flow, how are we going to pay our bills?
So I have created this Survival Sale. I am selling this one-of-a-kind print at a low price. The sale ends at 8:00PM on Monday, May 25. First come, first serve.
I found this print tucked in back of a drawer. It is a black and white silver gelatin print of a photograph I made 30 years ago. I used Agfa Brovira enlarging paper (no longer available), and then hand colored the print with Marshall color pencils and my style of rubbing in the color. I had made one hand-colored print and sold it some time ago. This print I finished just last week. The print is 18¼” x 11″ and the wooden frame is 25″ x 19″.
The story behind the flag is hand written by me and reads:
“This flag flew over the American Embassy in Brussels, Belgium. It had a hole in it, no one knows why. The embassy replaced the flag which found its way to South Londonderry, Vermont. The owner washed it and hung the flag to dry on his front lawn. Then someone stole it!”
This is a one-of-a-kind hand-colored print and cannot be replicated as the enlarging paper is no longer made.
Retail Price: $900. Survival Sale price: $350 plus shipping and Vermont sales tax or you may pick it up at my studio in Waterbury, Vermont.
The sale ends at 8:00PM on Monday, May 25.
